The most popular private jets to charter in India
India’s private jet market saw huge growth during 2021, as Covid-19 left travellers wary of crowded airports and disrupted scheduled services. Fast-forward to 2022 and our Mumbai office is still seeing increased demand from first-time charter customers who’ve never flown privately before. Here are the five most popular private jets to charter in India.
ENQUIRE NOW
Dassault Falcon 2000
The mid-sized Dassault Falcon 2000 and its extended range (which includes the EX, DX, LX and LXS) has a spacious cabin, class-leading fuel economy and an impressive range that can connect passengers travelling from Tokyo and Mumbai or Sydney and Singapore.
Whichever of the 2000 range you fly on, your chosen aircraft’s sleek exterior will be matched by a comfortable interior with space for up to 10 passengers and 18 large windows that flood the cabin with light, helping you to stay refreshed and alert throughout your flight.
Hawker 800
Similarly to the Falcon 2000, there are several variations and upgrades of the classic Hawker 800, including the 800XP, 800XPI (pictured above) and 850. Typically able to fly up to eight passengers in luxury, few mid-range jets can match this line’s combination of comfort, cabin size and range, and this all-around performance makes the Hawker 800 one of the most sought-after private jets on the charter market.
The Hawker 800’s spacious interior is usually arranged in a club configuration, with a three-person divan in the back along with a lavatory and an accessible baggage area with space for three large suitcases plus hand luggage. The jet’s quiet onboard environment is perfect for conducting business or just relaxing and enjoying the ride.
Cessna Citation XLS
The Cessna Citation XLS is one of the world’s best-selling private jets. A key reason for this popularity is the jet’s ability to fly in and out of smaller airports while still offering all the amenities and comfort of a mid-size jet.
The XLS generally seats around eight passengers, but can be configured for up to 12. Onboard, you’ll find stand-up headroom, a full-length aisle and 11 windows letting in plenty of natural light. There’s usually a refreshment centre at the front and a lavatory and closet space in the back, plus two foldaway tables in the middle of the cabin for enjoying meals or conducting business.
Bombardier Global 5000
Introduced in 2005 and upgraded three years later to boost its performance and range, the Bombardier Global 5000 is prized for its speed and onboard comfort. The aircraft was based on the Bombardier Global Express with a shorter cabin and decreased range, but can still complete journeys like Paris to Chicago and London to Mumbai. It’s also more efficient than many of its rivals, including the Global 6000.
Inside, the main seating area has three areas including a four-chair club seating section; a conference grouping and credenza in mid-cabin; and a stateroom with two facing chairs and a three-seater divan. Some aircraft have been customised with three individual chairs in mid-cabin and/or two divans towards the tail.
Bombardier Global Express
Despite being older than the Global 5000 and 6000, the Global Express remains one of the most sought-after business jets. Connecting far-away destinations like New York and Tokyo, it’s designed to carry up to 19 passengers in elegant luxury. Its upgrade, the Global Express XRS (in video above), is very similar, but has improved cabin pressurisation, two extra cabin windows and a new LED lighting system.
The 14.73m cabin inside a Global Express is incredibly quiet inflight and features heating, air-conditioning, and customised layouts that can include office, stateroom and conference-style areas. The baggage compartment at the rear of the cabin is large enough for 14 suitcases and can be accessed during your flight.
