So we asked a selection of some of the UK’s best photographers and bloggers to show us their favourite skyline photographs, which you’ll see below. But now we want to ask you to share your own. “London is a special place - a cultural location and an epicentre for travellers the worldwide. Many modern cities are linear; straight lines and right angles, drawn with a ruler almost, but London is historical, irregular, unpredictable and magnetic.
“Canary Wharf is a relatively new development in London’s history, a financial district made of steel and glass, but when viewed from Blackwall Basin, a nearby marina, those glowing towers reflected in still waters take on a beauty all of their own.

“The Cumbrian town of Keswick hugs the northern end of beautiful Derwent Water in the Lake District National Park. In this picture, the lake and parts of the town are hidden beneath early morning mist.
The Park offers an array of great outdoor activities to make the most of this spectacular landscape, from walking and cycling routes, to some great fishing. Climbing, horse riding and canoeing are also great ways of gaining a vantage point for spectacular views.”

“Last September, Dan and I flew to Malaga for a little weekend away. The weather was glorious, as you would expect for Spain, and we spent most of our time wandering the pretty streets of Malaga City and eating down at the harbour.
“On Friday night we took a taxi to the hilltop Parador Hotel Gibralfaro, a fantastic place for a sundowner on the hotel's terrace and to look out over Malaga's skyline. Once the sun had slipped behind the hills in front, we walked down the winding path which runs from the Castillo to Malaga old town.”

“The Piazzale Michelangelo is the perfect vantage point to admire the beautiful skyline of Florence. From here you have a panoramic view of the Renaissance city, the stunning architecture of The Cattedrale di Santa Maria del Fiore and the beautiful Tuscan hills of the Arno Valley beyond.
“Although intended by the architect to be an ode and museum to Michelangelo’s work, it is now a restaurant, so once you reach the top, sit back with a good espresso and soak in the views. Now in spring, it’s one of the most beautiful cities to look out on.”

“This is an image of the iconic Canary Wharf, taken from the South Bank of the Thames at dusk and converted to monochrome.
“The image is a long exposure of 30 seconds as the light was very low. It was long after sunset in mid-summer, at almost 10pm, with just a faint glow of light left in the sky and Canary Wharf lighting up.”
