Spotlight on the Boeing 737-700 VIP
“Very popular with sports teams and corporate groups, the Boeing 737-700 VIP provides a comfortable and exclusive charter experience every time you fly,” says our Commercial Jets Manager for London, Peter Philpott.
Here, Peter tells us more about why this aircraft is an increasingly sought-after charter option, especially among our clients in the UK and Europe.
The 737 VIP – a snapshot
“The airline’s fleet allows for two configurations on this aircraft. The first comprises 62 business-class seats and the other 56. The latter has eight seats laid out around two spacious first-class tables that are suitable for dining or work. Both offer superior seat pitch (legroom) of up to 46 inches and plenty of space to stretch your legs.
“The 737 VIP can fly for up to eight hours, though most flights are limited to about five hours with a full payload. This means it can complete non-stop trips from London to Istanbul and is ideal for multi-stop global tours.
“A massive draw for our clients is the comfortable business-class seating throughout the cabin and the premium service they experience every time they fly. It’s not as extravagant as some VIP aircraft like the Airbus A340 VIP, which features lie-flat seats and two divans, and it doesn’t have a private jet configuration like an Embraer Lineage 1000, but the corporate-style layout offers a middle ground between these two options.
“Many 737s on the market are 737-300s or 737-500s, which are cheaper for airlines to run but can look quite dated even when retrofitted. The newer 737-700 VIP delivers an enhanced inflight experience and superior performance, flying greater distances than its counterparts.
“The 737-700 VIP is also ideal for a last-minute domestic charter in the UK. It takes 48 hours to secure the necessary permits for most VIP aircraft, but being stationed in England means this one isn’t subject to the same restrictions, so we can organise everything at short notice.”
The interior and inflight experience
“The sleek, bright and modern cabin features soft carpets and leather seats, with legroom comparable to what you might expect on a business-class commercial flight. Although the seats aren’t lie-flat, their retractable footrests and generous recline allow passengers to relax during their flight. Tray tables are stored in the large centre armrests along with a sizable surface to hold drinks.
“The airline provides catering and crew that always delivers a first-class service from start to finish. If you’re flying from the aircraft’s base in the UK, you and your party will be treated to an exclusive welcome in a private terminal, making check-in and boarding quick and seamless. Onboard, the experienced crew demonstrate their passion for customer service, ensuring you’re well looked after throughout the flight.
“Catering is tailored to each client’s unique preferences. Whether you’re a sports team needing nutritional meals or a business group on an incentive trip, we can arrange a range of dining experiences, from fine dining to afternoon tea and even celebration cakes for special occasions.”
Tailored to your requirements
“The Boeing 737-700 VIP’s impressive offering makes it the ideal charter choice for a range of customers,” Pete concludes. “It’s an aircraft you can book knowing all 55-plus passengers will enjoy a premium charter experience every time.
“If you want to elevate your charter experience even further, we can work with the airline to tailor the aircraft’s interior with bespoke headrest covers, coasters, napkins and amenity kits – anything that puts your brand, crest or logo front-and-centre. We can also help create original and bespoke menus for all your culinary desires and even provide a celebration cake for special occasions.”
